Why I refuse to leave Earth
(Humans Are Fascinating and the Galaxy’s Weirdest Lifeforms)

My bosses at the Intergalactic Science Federation told me to fly my starship past this rock, scan a few boring piles of dirt, and keep moving. Simple, right? Except I accidentally looked through my telescope, saw a bunch of caterpillars melting into soup to grow wings, and my brain completely short-circuited.

My reaction:  screamed.

Earth is not just a quiet space rock—it is a hyperactive, mind-melting biological circus! Complex chemistry is exploding everywhere, plants are fighting gravity with invisible solar engines, and regular humans walk past this stuff every day like it’s nothing! That is completely illogical. I have officially locked my starship’s brakes in orbit until I figure out how your planet is so profoundly, wonderfully weird.

Lead Researcher Bio: Encephalon Nib

MY CODE NAME: You can just call me Nib. I am the Lead Field Analyst for this sector, and yes, I am a chronic over-thinker.

MY PROBLEM: I have degrees in advanced universal physics and cosmic biology, which means I understand how entire galaxies work. But absolutely nothing prepared me for Earth. I have developed a massive, awkward obsession with your planet's tiniest details. I will literally spend four hours staring at a single blade of grass through my scanners, hyperventilating and shouting, "But HOW is it so green?!"

MY GEAR: I use a super-advanced orbital scanner to capture data from the atmosphere, but I record all my actual secret notes using a primitive Earth object called a "fountain pen." It doesn't use batteries, it flows with beautiful liquid engineering, and I think it is the single greatest piece of technology in the galaxy.

MY PROMISE: Everything in this database is true. I checked. Repeatedly. Some of it sounds made up, but that is Earth’s fault, not mine.

MY EVIDENCE: The facts I find are 100% accurate. Whether I am analyzing the wild plasma energy of floating ball lightning or tracking a microscopic battle zone happening inside a human cell, the math is real. I might be completely losing my alien mind with excitement, but my data remains absolutely flawless.

OFFICIAL TITLE: Chief Excitement Officer

MY JOB: I am Nib’s robot field assistant, clue finder, and occasional source of chaos. While Nib spends hours analyzing evidence, I prefer a faster research method: running directly toward interesting things.

MY SPECIALTY: Digging up mysteries, finding clues, and asking important scientific questions like:

“Can we explore it?”

“Can we dig it up?”

“Is it amazing?”

MY PROMISE: If something is weird, wonderful, buried, mysterious, or making strange noises, I will investigate it immediately. Nib says this is not always a good plan. I disagree.

Please Send Input. My Research Notebook Has Space.
